RACE DIRECTING

RACE DIRECTING

Annika started racing in 2015 and has done races all over the US from road to trail, fun runs to ultra marathons. In 2019 she started helping put on a local half marathon & 5k. She learned how to updated the website, designed race shirts and medals, and organized bib pickup.  The year of 2020 hit everyone hard, but she took on becoming race director and figured out how to make the event happen by switching it to a virtual race. The following two years she continued to direct that race while volunteering at many other local races to learn more about running events. Annika began to learn how to use her knowledge and love for racing to give back to her community.  Her goal is to put on well-organized running events that inspire runners. She has started several different races from a marathon distance to 1 mile fun run. She also, helps direct for local nonprofit organizations.
